We’re buying a new web cam and installing it in a new location. We hope to have the new one up and running again soon.
Views of the Rio Grande. This is in Mission which is in deep south Texas, USA. This part of Texas has a sub-tropical climate, which is great for growing citrus, like Texas Ruby Red Grapefruit. Mexico is across the river. We are in the process of installing a new, high resolution web cam on this location. | This webcam view is looking north on the Rio Grande river in Mission, Texas. Mexico is on the left and the US (Texas) is on the right. Bentsen State Rio Grande State Park is a few miles upstream. South Padre Island and the Gulf of Mexico are downstream.With this webcam you will probably see quite a few boats on the Rio Grande river. Popular activities on the Rio Grande river include boating, fishing, jet skiing, and cruising.This stretch of the river stays at a fairly constant level because of Anzalduas dam to the south and is suitable for recreation on the water all year long. It is a popular destination in the summer and the winter with Winter Texans because of the mild sub-tropical weather in the Rio Grande Valley.If you watch the cam long enough you might see some South Texas birds.
